attend class together--the one who is granting the sharing permission
and the one receiving the permission.
Topics:
-Grant Permission for another user to view and/or update your calendar.

File Space & Web Space (for Windows) |
|
FILE
SPACE
Everyone (faculty,
staff, students) has it, but everyone doesn't know how to use it.
Faculty and staff have a combined total of 100 megabytes of web
space and file space available to use. This filespace is on the
campus network, so the files you place there are backed up for you.
(Unlike your hard drive, which you must remember to back up yourself).
The beauty of this file space is that it is accessible to you from
multiple locations across campus. If you teach in an electronic
classroom (e-classroom--formerly known as "smart" classroom),
you can work in your office, save your files to your HuskyNet file
space, and then access those files from an electronic classroom.
You can also access those files from a training lab on campus.
Learn how to:
Automatically connect to your file space
Move files to your file space
Access files from remote locations
Check your file space quota
Delete files from your file space
Rename files from your file space
Create a shortcut to your file space on your Outlook bar
HuskyNet
WEB
SPACE
FTP is file
transfer protocol. FTP software enables you to transfer files from
one location to another. An example would be .html files that you
create on your hard drive and then need to transfer to a server
that will display your files as web pages for others to view. Faculty
and staff have a combined total of 100 megabytes of web space and
file space available to use. The beauty of this file space is that
it is accessible to you from multiple locations across campus. If
you teach in an electronic classroom (e-classroom--formerly known
as "smart" classroom), you can work in your office, save
your files to your HuskyNet file space, and then access those files
from an electronic classroom. You can also access those files from

Move html files to the server
Change html files and move them to server

Create a shortcut to your web space on your Outlook bar

| Zip
Files |
|
|
What
are zip files? They are large size files that are compressed (zipped).
These compressed files can then be saved to floppy disks, or sent
to other people. Then, the files are unzipped so they can be used.
This process is used to enable people to send each other large files
in a format that is more quickly sent via e-mail. You will also
find that some files you download from the Internet are zipped.
When you download them, you need to have a program that will unzip
them for you. EasyZip, a freeware software, will be used in class
and you will learn how to install it on your own computer.
Learn How To:
Install EasyZip on your computer
Unzip a zipped file
View and unzipped file
Save an unzipped file
Zip a large file
Mail a zipped file
